I put this on a 2004 Lexus gx470. Amazon says that it does not fit the vehicle. Well, it does.Car is approaching 300K miles and I keep thinking it will die but it will not. Steering wheel wood is in great shape, but the leather was cracked and peeling. I don't care if it looks original, but I do care that the leather was gross to touch and worn beyond it's time. This was an inexpensive fix. These things are NOT EASY to put on.Here's what I did.Tried to just install out of the package in my 80F garage. No way. Don't even try it. You have to heat the inside of the wheel cover with a heat gun to soften it to get it to go over the wheel. Don't have a heat gun? You could use a blow dryer on high, or even bake at low temp in the oven until the whole thing is nice and warm to the touch. Even after heating it is very tight, so I had my wife help hold areas while I pulled and stretched it around the wheel. Then, to get it to go totally on, I used a couple of long screwdrivers to lever it on, sort of like mounting a tire. Be careful and work slow and keep the inner rubber warm and it will go on. Took about 5 min after I figured out best technique. It is quite tight on the Lexus 15" wheel, so it does not slip around, which is good. Comfortable, and smells like leather, which is also good. I got the brown one, which was lighter than the pics on Amazon, but for what I was looking for, I was not looking for a perfect color match. Honestly I would buy it again, especially since I found it on Amazon warehouse for pretty cheap, probably returned by someone who gave up trying to get it on their car. Looks and functions new.
